New 2015 Fiesta Colors - Slate & Sage

Earthy, Subtle, Mid-Century, Sophisticated, Calm are just some of the words that come to mind when you see Fiesta New 2015 Colors.

While most associate Fiesta with bold, bright and colorful dinnerware, we often forget that the basics and mid-tones give the other colors their pop and Fiesta color stacks a dynamic look.

Let examine Fiesta's new color Fiesta Slate

This charcoal gray exudes a rich elegance that gives a prestige about it. It screams natural and refined as it tones down and amps up two and three color combinations. Slate, Scarlet and Sage speaks to warm sweaters and a dusting of snow, whereas Slate, Lapis and Sunflower welcome you to the summer beach house.

As a neutral Fiesta Slate works with every color, just a white and retired black Fiesta does, but it does so with more of a brushstroke then setting a blank canvas and that is the beauty of this color.

Fiesta's past Gray colors were Gray and Pearl Gray but each of those grays were a light gray. Slate now provides a rich gray and I can't wait to see it in person.

Now Lets move on to Fiesta Sage

Darker than Shamrock, lighter than Evergreen, Sage fits nicely into the natural elements trend of today. A reserved yet complimentary color it speaks to the farm to table concept, spice, gardening and relaxation.

Fiesta Sage blends easily with Ivory, Slate, Paprika and Scarlet, but also creates unique color statements with Poppy, Plum and Sunflower.

Fiesta's two new 2015 colors are extremely versatile and serve as a foundation for many new colors. The fact that these two colors were shown paired together was no mistake. As other casual dinnerware lines strive to pull business away from Fiesta. The idea of mixing and matching dinnerware pieces may be to risky for younger buyers, so by showing them the perfect match it can introduce them to Fiestaware and perhaps lead them into discovering how building a dinnerware collection over time is fun and beautiful.

Fiesta Slate and Sage Pre-Sale
Dinnerware USA will be begin pre-orders in May, 2015.
Fiesta Slate and Fiesta Sage Orders will begin shipping in June, 2015.

Retired Fiesta Peacock and Fiesta Black - RIP Fiesta Colors

Fiesta dinnerware colors come and go. In most years one color is introduced and one is retired, this year Fiesta shook things up and retired two colors.

Fiesta Peacock the bright, bold, good morning blue that was introduced in 2005 was retired. In addition Fiesta Black, the stately neutral that helps set a tables mood or make other Fiesta colors pop is being retired.

Fiesta Black was part of Fiesta's 50th anniversary re-launch in 1986 and had a solid 28 year run.

While these Fiesta colors will be missed, they are not gone yet. If you love these colors now is the time to pick up a place setting, mug, pitcher, bowl or accessories in these great colors while stock is plentiful.

Using Flamingo, 2013's retired color, as an example; place settings, plates, heart bowl and bowls in general tend to sell out first. So while you can wait, our advice is that if you want it go ahead and order it. Then you'll have the Fiesta Peacock and Black dinnerware pieces you want.

Personally, Peacock remains one of my favorite Fiesta colors and it is a little disappointing to see it go, but if there was never any change Fiesta wouldn't be America's favorite dinnerware.

On the flip side, we are just 3 months away from learning what Fiesta's next color will be!
Until then pick up some great dinnerware while it's in stock

Fabulous Fiesta Dinnerware Settings for Thanksgiving

We had a little bit of extra time last week and ask each person in the office to put together a Fiesta Thanksgiving place setting using the current Fiesta dinnerware colors.

What we got a variety of color combinations that each have a different style and evoke a unique feeling. Black, Paprika and Black created a stylish design that has a sophisticated look, Poppy, Sunflower and Scarlet has a rich harvest feel and Paprika, Scarlet and Poppy create a rustic autumn color way.

While not all the current colors we used, combinations came from Paprika, Scarlet, Poppy, Sunflower, Tangerine, Black and Plum. We hope this graphic of some of our Fiesta dinnerware color combinations inspires you to set a beautiful Thanksgiving table.

Like these Fiesta color combinations or need a few pieces to make your place setting happen, then shop DinnerwareUSA for all your Fiestaware needs.

New Fiesta 3-Tier Server in 5 Fiesta Colors

Just in time for seasonal entertaining and holiday parties Fiesta presents the Fiesta 3 Tier Server.

This lovely piece of Fiestaware offers a great way to offer your guests lots of options without taking up a lot of space. Plus with the handle plate at the bottom you can choose whether to lift it from the bottom or carry it with the ring at the top.

This Made in the USA 3-Tier Server is lead free and comes in five Fiesta colors. Turquoise, Sunflower, Scarlet, Lemongrass and Lapis. View Fiesta 3 Tier Server colors. Depending on how sales go Homer Laughlin may expand the color selection. Personally, I would love to see black and white added to this list as they are seen as basics and can work with all occasions.

Please know that the Fiesta 3-Tier Server comes with three plates the 10.6", 9" and 7.4" and the metal components. Assembly of your server is required.

As always your Fiesta dishes come with a 5 year chip warranty and the plates are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe; however the metal components are not.

Early sales show that the Fiesta Scarlet 3-Tier Server will likely to be in short supply for the Holidays and Sunflower and Lapis are also selling briskly. So if you are wanting a specific color of this item, we recommend ordering the Fiesta 3-Tier Server today.

Fiesta Poppy - New Fiesta Color for 2014

Poppy is 2014's new Fiestaware color and there is a lot of buzz about this color choice.

Bold, Rich, Earthy all are words that describe Fiesta Poppy and as you can see in the left background in the photo on the left it is darker that tangerine and has a saturation more like Scarlet. The new Fiesta Poppy adds an earthy tone that should create unique color combinations. I look forward to seeing how it pairs with Paprika, Chocolate, Scarlet and Tangerine, the autumn color scheme will be amazing. Also the dynamic contrast between Plum, Cobalt and Lapis should make for bold tables.

The original pictures we received made this look very similar to tangerine and more as a yellow orange, however the lighting was bad and when we got the revised photos we saw how this a an orange-red which is a burnt orange, dark pumpkin color or a Fiesta calls it - Poppy.

The new Fiesta Poppy works well with so many of the current colors it is hard to pick a favorite color combination at this time. I can't wait to do a photo shoot of Fiesta Poppy and pull all of the different colors together. The only color I don't see this work well with would be Flamingo and now wonder if that is the reason it was retired in December?

Pre-Order for Fiesta Poppy is slated to Start on May 1st
Shipping of select Poppy Fiestaware is set for early June.

Stay up to date with all of the Fiesta news at this Fiestaware Facebook page and to keep track of all our photos follow our Fiestaware page on Pinterest. #fiestadinnerware #fiestapoppy #fiestaware

Fiesta Lapis Color Wheels

Want to know what Fiesta Lapis looks like next to Shamrock, Scarlet or Sunflower?

Well DinnerwareUSA took the idea of a color wheel and laid out all of the current Fiestaware colors, except white, ivory and black, around a blue Lapis Fiesta cereal bowl. They put together the three color groups and took pictures. The results of the Fiesta Lapis Color Wheels are below.

The First Lapis Color Wheel consists of Lemongrass, Sunflower, Tangerine, Plum, Cobalt, Peacock, Turquoise and Shamrock.

The blues and brights (Lemongrass, Sunflower and Tangerine) all look great with Lapis, Shamrock is good but not my favorite and Plum was my least favorite in this group. At least when looking at a just the two colors, however if you mix in other colors it can work.

The Second Fiesta Lapis Color Wheel consists of Turquoise, Flamingo, Scarlet, Paprika, Tangerine, Sunflower, Lemongrass and Shamrock. The Fiesta Flamingo pops with Lapis but it made me think of candy, kids parties and bubble gum. Scarlet and Lapis made me think of Americana and Nautical looks and by adding white the look is complete. The last new color in this wheel was Paprika and when it is placed next to Lapis it invokes a fall, lodge and rustic look.

The Third Lapis Color Wheel removed the bright colors from the mix which then gave the colors a different feeling. Colors included Cobalt, Plum, Shamrock, Paprika, Scarlet, Flamingo, Turquoise, and Peacock.

By mixing in Fiesta neutrals like White, Ivory and Black, Lapis can work with all of this colors and allow you to create unique and dynamic table settings.

Recently retired Fiestaware colors:
Marigold - This rich yellow pops on Fiesta Lapis
Chocolate - Blue and brown works together, but I favor Paprika and Lapis over Chocolate based on Chocolate's deep saturation.

Fiesta Lapis is a wonderful color that works with just about every Fiesta color and adds a nice denim blue color to the Fiesta line up.

If you are looking to buy Fiesta dinnerware online, we suggest DinnerwareUSA a Fiesta only store that sells Fiestaware dishes from Homer Laughlin & Company and licensed Fiesta products including linens, flatware and more.

Flamingo Fiesta Pictures - Our Favorite Fiestaware Pics from Photo Shoot

Each year when Fiesta launches a new color, DinnerwareUSA like to do a photo shoot and fun pictures with the new color and turn it into a video.

Last year, Fiesta released Flamingo Fiestaware which is lovely pink the works with variety of retired and current Fiesta colors. We used a variety of Fiesta dishes and mixed and match color schemes, so you can see the various color assortments that work together.

Just over a month ago Dinnerware USA launched it's Fiestaware Pinterest page and some of the most popular pins have been those from the Flamingo Fiesta photo shoot. We didn't think we would have a need for these Fiesta dinnerware pictures, but rather than us decide which ones you might want to pin we decided to post them so you can select your favorite Flamingo Fiesta pics.

Square Fiesta Plates & Mug - This Fiesta grouping really pops and makes for a vibrant table.
Colors Shown: Turquoise Fiesta, Flamingo Fiesta & Lemongrass Fiesta

A Romantic Fiestaware setting - Scarlet Fiesta, White Fiesta and Flamingo Fiesta
Use neutrals like black and white to break up similar colors and make them stand out.

Sometimes we are surprised by how different Fiesta colors work with each other, this is a good example. Fiestaware with Fiesta Tumblers - Flamingo Fiesta, Sunflower Fiesta, Shamrock Fiesta, Plum Fiesta, Lemongrass Fiesta. In the background are various Fiesta Tervis Tumblers

Mix different plates sizes and Black Fiesta, Flamingo Fiesta, Ivory Fiesta and Turquoise Fiesta for a cool yet colorful combination.

Stackable Small Pie Bakers, Fiesta Bouillon Bowl and a Flamingo Disc Pitcher - Lots of great colors working together. Tangerine, Lemongrass, Turquoise, Sunflower and Flamingo Pitcher

Fiestaware Plates, Salt Shaker, Medium Fiesta Vase with Tervis Tumblers - Flamingo Fiesta, Sunflower Fiesta, Shamrock Fiesta, Plum Fiesta, Lemongrass Fiesta in the background is a Fiesta Tervis Tumblers

This is a Fiesta Color stack from our Fiesta warehouse. Really liked how the random mix of colors came together so well.

We hope you enjoy our Fiesta Photo Gallery featuring fun color combinations of Fiestaware. New photos and links will be added from time to time as Fiesta releases new colors and when we aren't busy filling Fiesta dinnerware orders in the warehouse.
